Mel Gibson and wife Robyn Moore have agreed on a divorce settlement to end their 28-year marriage.
Moore started divorce proceedings in 2009, citing "irreconcilable differences". Yesterday Moore's lawyer appeared before a judge to say that they had reached an agreement.
The couple did not sign a pre or post-nuptial agreement when they married in 1980, which means they must divide all assets accrued during their marriage equally under Californian law.
The divorce is expected to be fully granted in August when judgement on the case will be completed.
They have one daughter and six sons together.
