Nicole Scherzinger is reported to have hit out at her ex-manager Jeff Haddad, after he claimed that she was always intended to replace Cheryl Cole on the X Factor.
The former Pussycat Dolls singer insists that her former mentor was never involved in her negotiations with Simon Cowell, Fox and Freemantle, adding that the comments made by Jeff ‘hurt’ her.
In a recent interview with Heat magazine Jeff revealed that Nicole was supposed to be hosting the talent show alongside Steve Jones but was later promoted when Cheryl Cole departed the show.
He said: "In my opinion, Simon always wanted Nicole as a judge. There was never a question that she wouldn’t get it. Nicole was always going to be on that judging panel and Cheryl was just being used as a cog in the wheel."
However, Scherzinger has hit back at Haddad's claims during an interview on syndicated radio show Kidd Kraddick in the Morning, saying that there was no truth to his statements.
"I was very hurt by that [claim] because that was my ex-manager who said that," Scherzinger explained."
She further stated: "It unfortunately goes to show how much he doesn’t know because the people at Freemantle and all the powers that be have no idea who he is because he wasn’t involved."
