Kym Marsh has revealed that she is excited to see what plots lie ahead for Michelle Collins on 'Coronation Street'.

Collins made her debut as the new Rovers Return manager Stella Price on the soap last week.

Writing in her New magazine column, Marsh spoke about the ex-'Eastenders' actress.

She wrote: "Michelle Collins made her Corrie debut as the Rovers' new manager Stella last week and I'm dying to see what's in store for her character.

"I met her at The British Soap Awards last month and she was very nice."

Marsh, who plays the character of Michelle Connor on 'Coronation Street', also wrote about the difficulty to maintain a different accent while acting, amid claims that cast members have complained about Collins' northern accent.

She added: "She said she's got a dialect coach to help her perfect her northern accent. I had lessons to learn a New York accent when I appeared in the stage show Saturday Night Fever, so I know how tough it is keeping it up all the time!"
