The first shots of Tom Cruise from the upcoming adaptation of the hit Broadway musical 'Rock of Ages' have been released.
The film's director, Adam Shankman, tweeted: "Ladies and gents: first look at tom cruise as stacee jaxx! First day of shooting!"
'Rock of Ages' tells the story of Sherrie (Julianne Hough), a girl from a small town who moves to Hollywood to become a star and crosses paths with egotistical singer Stacee Jaxx (Cruise)
The cast also includes Catherine Zeta-Jones, Alec Baldwin, Paul Giamatti, Bryan Cranston and Mary J Blige, and the film will feature hits by Bon Jovi, Poison and Twisted Sister, among others.
