Former 'Home and Away' star Bob Morley has joined the cast of 'Neighbours' as the potential love interest for one of the characters.

Warning: spoiler alert!

Holy Soap reports that Morley, who played Drew Curtis in 'Home and Away', has been cast as Aidan Foster, a male nurse who could be set for romance with Chris Pappas (James Mason).

Morley, who will star in 'Neighbours' for six months, said: "I'm excited about the storyline and how it develops. I don't see it as a big deal that the character is gay; it certainly doesn't define him, and what the writers have planned is really interesting and authentic."

The soap's executive producer, Susan Bower, said: "To be true to the Chris character now he is a regular in storylines, we knew at some stage he needed to meet someone. How it unfolds, all will be revealed; however, I think viewers will find the story compelling."

Morley has already begun filming and makes his 'Neighbours' debut as Aidan on Australian television in September.
