Criminal Minds’ Matthew Gray Gubler – who plays Spencer Reid – has been praising the show, which completes season six next Monday on RTÉ Two.
In an interview in the current RTÉ Guide, the 31-year-old former model talks about how joining the long-running procedural has helped shape his acting career. He also discusses his attitude to life.
“I approach life from the sense that every second could be your last,” he says. “I've never let anything really change me, per se. I like to just sort of take everything, good or bad. I've had some bad things and some great things.
“This show, I would probably call a great thing, but it's . . . taught me how to be a better director, how to be a better actor. It's introduced me to a great family of people.”
He also admits that joining the cast wasn’t part of some great plan of his. “I sort of fell on this show as an accident, and I've enjoyed it thoroughly, and it's been a great thing,” he admits.
“But, again, a lot of my life, I have been very fortunate because I've never tried to - I just try to be the best that I can at what I'm doing that moment, and whatever comes my way, I do with passion.”
Criminal Minds season six concludes next Monday (June 20th) on RTÉ Two
