U2 are the world's highest paid musicians, according to Forbes magazine.

Forbes says that U2 made $195m in the period May 2010 to May 2011, with Bon Jovi in second place ($125m) and Elton John in third ($100m).

Forbes' figures are based on pre-tax income, before agent and manager fees are deducted.

Completing the Top 10 are: Lady Gaga ($90m), Michael Buble ($70m), Paul McCartney ($67m), Black Eyed Peas ($61m), Eagles ($60m), Justin Bieber ($53m) and Dave Matthews Band ($51m).
