The anonymous writer of a blog accusing Britain's Got Talent of being fixed for singer Ronan Parke to win has apologised for the claims in a second post.

The original blog post, which appeared last week ahead of the show's final, suggested that the 12-year-old was signed by Simon Cowell's Syco label two years ago, and also claimed his image was manufactured as well as making crude personal slurs about him.

According to the Sun Newspaper, the blogger's second post offered his "sincerest and unreserved apologies to anyone who read that document and for all the distress and hurt I've caused to so many people. But in particular, Ronan Parke and his family, Mr Simon Cowell, SyCo, Sony Music and everyone associated with BGT."

The writer went on to describe themselves as a loner suffering from bipolar disorder, who had become obsessed with Britain's Got Talent.

He or she claimed that being in a manic phase of their condition meant that they "believed everything I was seeing and hearing was fake and contrived in order to dupe and manipulate the viewers."

A spokeswoman for the show told the paper that police had been alerted to the second blog entry.

Earlier this week Ronan said that he had been 'really upset' by the claims.

He said: "I hate bullying - it's a terrible thing to do and I hope people will see that it's wrong now."
