Britain's Got Talent winner Jai McDowall has still not signed a record deal.
According to The Daily Star, the 24-year-old Scottish singer, who was deemed to be the ‘dark horse’ of the competition in last Saturday’s final, is still waiting for a meeting with Cowell over a record deal.
Speaking about his disappointment he said: "Simon spoke to me after the final but said he is very busy with American X Factor at the moment."
He added: "After the tour I will hopefully sit down with him and discuss what is going to happen."
Despite winning the £100,000 cash prize and the opportunity to perform for the Queen at the Royal Variety, reports are still suggesting that runner-up Ronan Parke may be more successful.
Since leaving ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, 12-year-old Parke has received a lot of press attention, and the media hype surrounding him doesn’t look set to die down any time soon.
After McDowall won, Simon told the public that he already had big plans for the Scot.
However, a representative from Simon’s record company Syco has said that “No decisions have been made yet,” regarding McDowall’s career.
