‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison has admitted that he enjoyed developing a friendship with Gwyneth Paltrow during the recently-concluded second season of the hit show.

Paltrow guest-starred in several episodes this season as teacher Hollie Holiday, who we saw fall for Morrison’s character Will Schuester.

"One of the best things I got out of this season was meeting her," Morrison told Parade recently. "We've just become really great friends."

He added that rumours of them being romantically involved were "ridiculous".

"And that's another case of people speculating something else, but when there were rumours surrounding us, she actually went out publicly and was like, 'Screw it. You'll see me hanging out with Matt Morrison. He's my friend'," he explained.

Morrison also said that he is "in awe" of the actress, and really respects her for managing to juggle her personal life and career.

"She's an amazing mother and an amazing wife and to see what a strong family foundation she has amidst her amazing career, I'm so in awe of her," he added.
