RTÉ Radio 1's Documentary on One series has won a prestigious award at The Gracies in Beverly Hills, and is the only winner outside of the US and Canada this year.
The radio documentary 'In the same Boat' took home the award in the Outstanding Interview Program or Feature Category.
The documentary was produced by RTÉ Radio producer Nicoline Greer and tells the story of a Dublin woman Fiona Tiernan who wanted to create a dragon boat racing team for survivors of breast cancer.
This is the thirty-first award the Documentary on One series has won in the last three years, making it the most successful radio documentary unit in the world at present.
