Noise from low-flying jets could affect filming at ‘Coronation Street's’ new set, a report has suggested.
The Sun reports that aircraft noise from both Manchester Airport and the nearby Barton Aerodrome could cause disruption on the new location, which is set for completion next year.
A production source is quoted as saying: "The aircraft situation could prove to be a problem. Anyone who knows the area will tell you how frequently planes fly over.
"Muffling devices are often used by TV crews in cases like this. But just how effective they will be is difficult to say."
A second Corrie insider told the paper that production staff would have to give "a lot of thought" to the impact of aircraft on filming, particularly in scenes shot outside.
It was previously reported that show bosses had concerns about noisy flocks of birds disrupting filming, as the nearby Manchester Ship Canal attracts a variety of waterfowl.
It's going to be interesting viewing watching Tracy and Becky argue over Steve against a backdrop of screeching jets and flocks of birds!
