Jedward - Boys working hard ahead of tonight's semi-finals

Jedward’s Eurovision chances are impressive, if the bookies’ odds are to be believed, as they have been given a 9/2 chance of winning.

According to Metro, a victory for the 19-year-old Lucan twins is looking increasingly likely, as the pair drum up support at home as well as a surprising range of rival European countries, such as Austria, Norway and last year's winning nation Germany.

Jedward support is hottting up ahead of tonight's Semi-Finals on RTÉ Two at 8pm

Having been given odds as unfavourable as 25/1 just one week ago, Jedward now find themselves and their ‘Lipstick’ song at 9/2, with the UK’s entry, Blue, at 9/1.

Ladbrokes is also offering 10/1 odds that either twin will fall off the stage during their live performance, as well as odds of 25/1 that one of the Irish boys will apply lipstick during the performance of their song ‘Lipstick’.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes has admitted: “The prospect of a Jedward win is keeping us awake at night. Euro-punters across the continent are logging on to back the boys, which is the biggest signal yet they have the winning formula.”

Currently in dress rehearsals ahead of tonight's performance, Jedward are popular with locals

However, the pressure is on the boy’s performance in tonight’s second Eurovision semi-final to see if they earn their place in Saturday’s final.

Meanwhile there is more good news for the boys as Google’s Eurovision 2011 predictor has them at number 1 based on Google search data.

You can see The Eurovision Song Contest 2011 semi-finals tonight, Thursday 12 May at 8pm on RTÉ Two, preceded by a behind-the-scenes look at Jedward’s road to Dusseldorf, ‘OMG! It’s Eurovision’.
