Olivia Wilde has confessed that she does not consider her recent split from husband Tao Ruspoli to be a negative thing.
The 'House' actress filed for divorce from Ruspoli in March after nearly eight years of marriage.
In an interview with Glamour, Wilde revealed that the couple ended the relationship when it was no longer working in order to avoid "living unhappily".
She said: "The mark of a good marriage is partnership and continuing to feel inspired by your spouse.
"I had that with Tao. But the end is not necessarily the tragedy. Staying in a relationship that is no longer working is the tragedy. Living unhappily - that's the tragedy."
She went on to say that while she is "open" to the possibility of re-entering the dating world, she is in no hurry to get into another serious relationship.
She added: "I'm opening up my heart to the idea of dating.
"It's funny - my friends would always come to me for romantic advice, [but] I know nothing, and things have changed since I was dating in high school! I'm really trying hard to spend this time working on myself."
Wilde was recently linked to Justin Timberlake, though she later insisted that the pair are only friends.
