Cat Deeley has described Kate Middleton as an "amazing" Royal icon.
The 'So You Think You Can Dance' presenter, who fronted the CNN coverage of Friday's royal wedding alongside Piers Morgan, praised the 29-year-old for embracing the overwhelming public interest in her relationship with Prince William.
In an interview with The Mirror, she said: "Something like 750 million people were scheduled to watch [the wedding], so it was terrifying.
"The way she has handled it all is amazing. She's been immaculate within this media storm.
"I think younger people really appreciate her. She's breathed new life into the royal institution."
Deeley also weighed in on Cheryl Cole, and her chances of achieving stateside success with her rumoured X Factor USA judging role.
She said: "I understand Cheryl ¬perfectly. Anyway, she's so gorgeous and endearing that I think they would want to understand her - and if people want to understand, then they will."
