Amy Huberman will be flying the flag for Irish fashion designers when she attends the British Royal wedding this Friday.
The actress and author, who, will join over 1,500 guests at Westminster Abbey to witness Prince William and Kate Middleton tie the knot, has revealed that her glamorous attire will be all Irish.
"Amy will be wearing Irish designers - from top to toe," said her rep Joanne Byrne.
The actress who is sticking to the customary hat is wearing a creation by Irish milliner Sarah Mc Gahon from Bray, Co. Wicklow.
The design is a black lace beret with two oversized black poppies and crystal details.
Her all-important dress is from Louise Kennedy’s autumn/winter 2011 collection and is described as pink bubblegum with lace, a boat-neck, A-line skirt and lace scallop finish.
She will cover-up with a cream wrap also from Louise Kennedy and finish off the outfit with black patent shoes from Irish shoe designer Nina Divito.
According to The Guardian, Brian O’Driscoll confirmed this week that his wife, would be attending the ceremony but said that he couldn’t miss the captain’s run on Friday.
O'Driscoll said: "As big an honour as it was to be invited I can't ask for team runs to be at half-six in the evening so I can go to the royal wedding at Westminster Abbey."
"One thing I learnt early on my career is that personal gratification takes second place. The team ethos comes first even after 12 years."
"My wife is going on our behalf as we also felt there was an element of our representing Ireland as well. It's going to be an incredible thing, with two billion watching, but I'll be at home, preparing for Toulouse."
