Former child star Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to 120 days in prison at Lynwood Correctional Facility, for a probation violation.
The decision came after Lohan was accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace from a store in LA, in January.
The judge reduced Lohan’s charge to a misdemeanour, but said that the theft was a violation of her conviction in 2007, for drink driving and possession of drugs.
This sentence marks the fourth time the 24-year-old will have been in prison.
She was also ordered to serve 480 hours' community service, including 300 at a women's centre.
Judge Sautner said of Lohan: "Perhaps she might see how women who have fallen on real hard times have to live and maybe she will change."
