Jennifer Lopez has confirmed that she is "open" to staying on as an 'American Idol' judge next year.

The singer is still in the middle of her first season on the show's judging panel alongside fellow new judge Steven Tyler and veteran Randy Jackson, but she was recently questioned by 'E! News' host Ryan Seacrest on if a return would be possible.

"Of course, of course," she replied. "Here's what's the great thing about this moment is for me. There's tons of possibilities, and I'm open to whatever God has in store for me down the line. And whatever it is, I'm going to do my best."

The mother of twins (Max and Emme), who recently topped People magazine's most beautiful list, also revealed her decision to join 'American Idol' in the first place.

"The big major thing when Marc and I sat down and talked about it was, it would be nice to be in one place with the babies. They've been travelling since they were like 3-weeks-old."

"That was a major consideration, too. So when I looked at my whole life and where I was, and the kind of freedoms that I had to choose to do what I wanted to do... I went with my gut."

Lopez is rumoured to be planning to launch her own reality series with husband Marc Anthony where they would tour Latin America to find new talent.
