'Coronation Street’s' Fiz Stape, played by actress Jenny McAlpine, is to be arrested for murder after she helps husband John dispose of a body according to reports. ***Spoiler Alert***
The News of World reveals that when serial-killer John Stape discovers Underworld needs to be dug up so that some pipes can be fixed, he enlists Fiz’s help to move Colin Fishwick’s body and dump it in the canal.
Fiz initially thinks it’s the body of her missing brother Chesney, but little does she know that John has him locked up a cellar.
When Fiz eventually discovers Chesney whereabouts, John goes on the run with their baby daughter Hope. While chasing after her crazed husband, Fiz is knocked down by a car and taken to hospital.
John later comes to visit her at the hospital, but when she calls a nurse for help, John apparently jumps off the roof.
The Sunday Mirror claims that he will not die but instead go on the run. A source said: “We will see him boarding a ferry to Europe. The police will discover where he is and there will be a manhunt. The bosses love him. Being a fugitive is a great story.”
Meanwhile Fiz is arrested when she shows the police where Colin’s body is and is left wondering what is to become of baby Hope.
