RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta presenter Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí has been named Radio Presenter of the Year at the Celtic Media Festival in Scotland.

The Donegal born radio presenter is the host of the hugely popular talk show 'Rónán Beo @3' which contains a mix of news, health, live music and events.

Speaking after receiving his award, Rónán said: "I’d like to thank my producer Dónall Mac Ruairí, programme secretary Eimear Ní Fhearraigh, our sound technician Pól Mac Fhionnghaile, as well as Pádraig Ó Braonáin, Regional manager Séamus Mac Géidigh, and all my other colleagues in Donegal, Casla, Baile na nGall and Dublin who are always so supportive.

"And, special thanks to the RnaG listeners – the best looking, most loyal and smartest listeners in the country!"

Rónán was named Radio Personality of the Year at the Oireachtas Media Awards for the last 2 years running, and the 'Rónán Beo @3' programme also won best radio programme last year.

'Rónán Beo @3' is broadcast 3-5pm Tuesday - Friday on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
