Former 'Eastenders' actress Michelle Collins and 'Taggart' actor John Michie have joined the cast of 'Coronation Street'.
They will play the roles of new couple Stella and Karl, who are set to take control of the Rovers Return in the coming months.
The announcement was made exclusively on 'Coronation Street's' official Facebook page this morning.
Details of the new signings came after Rovers landlady Liz McDonald was seen leaving Weatherfield in last night's episode.
The message on 'Coronation Street's' official Facebook page read: "Last night Liz McDonald left the Street and her beloved Rovers Return behind. We can now exclusively reveal former EastEnders star Michelle Collins and Taggart star John Michie have been cast to play a brand new Rovers Return couple, Stella and Karl!
"Stella holds a dark secret and life is about to get a whole lot more complicated in The Rovers! Sparks will fly!"
