'Emmerdale' star Matthew Wolfenden has said that his character David is with the "right woman".
Speaking to Inside Soap, the actor said that David's relationship with Leyla remains strong despite their problems.
He said: "I'd say Leyla is the right woman for David but then I think about all the things she's done to him!"
"People often say to me, 'I can't believe he's still with her'."
"David seems to be under the thumb, and Leyla gets away with cheating, stealing and having a secret son."
"But David has been good enough to put that to one side, so because of that I reckon she must be the right girl for him."
