It is reported that former 'Criminal Minds' star AJ Cook is in talks to return to the crime drama as a series regular.
Deadline.com says that Cook received an offer to return to the show last week after producers "came up with ideas" for her character, Special Agent Jennifer 'JJ' Jareau.
In 'Criminal Minds', JJ had transferred from the FBI's Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) to the Pentagon.
Cook left the series last year after her option was not picked up, but she has guest starred in three episodes of the current season.
In other 'Criminal Minds' news, Deadline.com says that Cook's former co-star Paget Brewster, who plays Special Agent Emily Prentiss, could also return to the series if the pilot episode of a comedy she is filming does not get the green light for a full season.
