Jedward have earned over €3million (£2.85m) in the past year - the biggest annual pay cheque in 'X Factor' history.

The Sun has reported that John and Edward Grimes, 19, have chalked up the earnings through gigs, personal appearances, endorsements and lucrative ad deals.

The quiff-haired duo, who finished sixth in 2009's 'X Factor', made €561,000 (£500,000) promoting computer game firm Nintendo alone.

Other lucrative ad campaigns that they fronted include price comparison site Moneysupermarket, children's cereal 'Coco Pops' and drinks giant 'Britvic'.

Managed by 'X Factor' judge Louis Walsh, the pair pocketed another £50,000 (€56,000) last night for just a few hours work on the new ITV game show 'Sing If You Can', where former pop star Sinitta picked up £5,000 (€5,600).

One source said: "The Jeds are making millions. Louis reckons Jedward have made more money in a year than any other 'X Factor' act.

"They've done more adverts, endorsements and gigs than all the other contestants combined. In the past year their earnings topped €3.2million."

Prices for a three-song private set with Jedward start at around £10,000 (€11,000).
