'EastEnders' star Jake Wood has said that he is pleased that the writers of the soap have decided to delve into his character Max's relationship with ex-wife Tanya again.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail, the actor said: "Max and Tanya are intertwined. They can't live with each other, they can't live without each other. I'm sure everyone knows couples like that."
"It's never felt to me like they are going over old ground. Their relationship started as an affair, she was a babysitter and Max was married at the time."
"In a way if that comes around again, it's kind of full circle for them. It will be interesting to see what the future holds for them."
"It's my job to make it work, no matter what he does. I have to find justification for him and 90% of the time it's spot on."
