Liam Neeson has had his cameo appearance in ‘The Hangover Part II’ removed from the comedy sequel’s final edit.
The Irish actor had filmed a scene where he plays a tattoo artist – but it had to be removed when director Todd Phillips decided to do some reshoots.
Since the Oscar-nominated Neeson was unavailable for additional filming, Phillips wasn’t able to shoot the altered scene with the Ballymena man and had to recast.
Fellow director Nick Cassavetes, who helmed ‘The Notebook’, was asked to play the tattoo artist. “We were in a complete time crunch so I called up Nick and asked if he would do the part,” Phillips told Variety.
“He came in and crushed it and that is the scene that you will ultimately see in the film. [I'm excited for everyone] to see the film. It turned out great.”
