One of the former stars of 'The Bill' has been linked to the role of the new boss of the Rovers Return in 'Coronation Street'.
The Sunday Mirror says that Lisa Maxwell, who is a presenter on 'Loose Women', has secretly auditioned for the role of Liz McDonald's (Beverley Callard) successor.
It is reported that former 'EastEnders' star Michelle Collins is also in contention for the role.
A source told the Sunday Mirror: "They are looking for a feisty blonde with plenty of attitude and Lisa and Michelle fit the bill."
