After much speculation in the press, Shakira has confirmed her relationship with Spanish footballer Gerard Pique.
The popstar posted a romantic photo of the two of them posing together on her Twitter page.
The photograph shows the pair in a sunny seaside setting with their arms around one another, accompanied with the message: "I present to you my sunshine."
Shakira and the footballer became the focus of intense media speculation when they were spotted holding hands in Barcelona together earlier this month.
The singer first met Pique last spring when shooting the video for her World Cup song 'Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)'.
However, Shakira previously dismissed any reports of a romance.
The singer announced the end of her 10-year relationship with her previous partner Antonio de la Rua on her official website in January.
They said in a statement: "During our almost 11 years together we have loved each other deeply. They have been the most wonderful years of our lives, and thanks to that love and the respect we have shared for one another, we have been an exceptional couple and partners.
"Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible."
