Farley Granger, the actor who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's 'Rope' and 'Strangers on a Train', has died. He was 85.
The BBC reports that the New York City medical examiner's office said that he had died at his Manhattan home of natural causes.
Among Granger's other credits were the film noir favourite 'They Live by Night', Luchino Visconti's 'Senso', the American soap operas 'As the World Turns' and 'One Life to Live' and Broadway productions of 'Pride and Prejudice', 'The Crucible' and 'Death Trap'.
In 2001, he made his West End debut at the age of 75 in a production of Noel Coward's 'Semi-Monde'.
