'Coronation Stree't star Kym Marsh has given birth to a baby girl after going in to labour five weeks early.
Soap star Marsh, who plays Weatherfield barmaid Michelle Connor, and her fiancé, 'Hollyoaks' actor Jamie Lomas, welcomed a baby girl late last night.
Marsh, 34, was admitted to Manchester Royal Infirmary yesterday having gone into labour 5 weeks early. She texted a friend saying that all was well and that she was looking forward to the birth.
Her publicist said today; "Jamie Lomas and Kym Marsh are delighted to announce that they are the proud parents of a baby girl Polly Lomas. Polly was born on Wednesday evening (March 23) weighing 4lbs 1oz. Mum and baby are doing well."
Kym, who already has two children, Emily, 13, and David, 15, took early maternity leave from Coronation Street. The soap couple tragically lost her son Archie in 2009, after he was born premature at 21 weeks.
