Pop princess Kylie Minogue lived up to her promise to entertain Irish fans with her record-breaking show in Dublin's O2 Arena.
Arriving in Dublin at 3pm yesterday, she headed straight to the O2 to prepare for her first show in Ireland since April 2005, shortly before she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
However, she did take time to tweet her 550,000 followers ahead of her two Dublin concerts.
She wrote: "Dublin...I am here and soaking up the sunshine...can't wait for tonight", accompanying the tweet with a picture of herself wearing jeans and a T-shirt outside the venue.
When the diminutive popstar took to the stage, she greeted Irish fans with a warm "Dia dhaoibh!".
Embracing Greek mythology as the theme, the 42-year-old pulled out all the stops with a spectacular €25m production, Aphrodite - Les Folies.
Featuring over a million moving parts, including 30 high impact water jets, fountains and rain curtains, the stage alone cost more than €10m.
Built by Tait Towers, the same company has also built stages for superstars like the Rolling Stones, U2 and Madonna.
The Australian singer also looked amazing as the goddess of love in an array of eight dazzling outfits designed by Dolce & Gabbana.
A supporting cast of synchronised swimmers, aerial performers and acrobats added to the extravaganza, along with 30 jet-sprays, fountains and rain curtains.
According to the Irish Independent, the former 'Neighbours' star sang her two decades of hits through a gold microphone.
Minogue will perform the second of her two-night Dublin concerts tonight before continuing on her 'Aphrodite: Les Folies' tour which will take in 21 countries over three months.
