Mel Gibson is reportedly "overjoyed" at becoming a grandfather for the third time.
Just a week after the actor stole headlines yet again, this time for pleading "no contest" to a misdemeanor domestic battery charge, Gibson has found a reason to smile.
The actor's daughter Hannah and husband Kenny Wayne Shepherd welcomed have welcomed a new baby boy.
A source told People: "He was overwhelmed with emotion. He gets that way around babies... He was overjoyed."
Gibson reportedly left his Malibu church early on Sunday to spend time with the new grandchild, who was born on Saturday.
Hannah, the eldest of Gibson's seven children with ex-wife Robyn, and her blues singer husband 33, have another son and daughter.
