Academy Award winning actress Renée Zellweger says that fame was not her motivation for her choice of career.

When Renée Zellweger, 41, began working as a movie extra over 20 years ago, she never dreamt she would become a huge Hollywood star. According to People she said; “I never had those thoughts before. I moved to LA because I just ran out of things to do. I never intended to be famous.”

Her big break came when she won a small part in Richard Linklater’s cult hit ‘Dazed and Confused’. Zellweger revealed; “I felt really lucky to be a glorified extra on that movie. I learned so much about what your responsibilities are as a performer when you are participating in a collaborative effort.”

If recent reports are true Zellweger will soon be starting work on the third instalment of ‘Bridget Jones’, but this time without the big knickers. A source revealed to The Sun that while Bridget is returning to the big screen, Zellweger will not have to pile on the pounds this time.

Instead they are going to begin the movie with Bridget standing on the scales, delighted that she has reached her goal weight.
