EastEnders actress Kylie Babbington, who plays Jodie Gold, has praised the soap's cot death storyline for being "different".
The controversial plot provoked thousands of complaints, causing writers to end the storyline sooner than originally planned.
According to Holy Soap, Babbington, said: "EastEnders is always known for having controversial storylines and obviously some people were offended by it, but a lot of people enjoyed it.
"I think it's a soap at the end of the day and it's acting and it's good to portray different things."
Babbington also confirmed that she is still enjoying her role in the soap, saying: "I'm happy as things are. I always enjoy the storylines I've been given."
