A lock of Justin Bieber’s hair, which was placed on Ebay by chat show host Ellen Degeneres, has sold for more than $40,000.
A mystery bidder paid $40,668 for the hair, which Bieber had given to Ellen Degeneres in a small box as a gift for her birthday.
The popstar, who just turned 17, caused uproar amongst his fans recently when he snipped off his famous locks. Over 80,000 of his admirers stopped following his tweets on Twitter.
All profits from the auction will go to animal rescue group The Gentle Barn Foundation and the winner of the auction has been invited onto the Ellen show to meet the Biebs himself.
