Having said she had no interest in a "showbiz career", 'Strictly Come Dancing' contestant Ann Widdecombe is to make her panto debut opposite one of the show's judges, Craig Revel Horwood.

The Press Association reports that Widdecombe and Revel Horwood will star in 'Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs' at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford, Kent in December.

Widdecombe will play Widdy in Waiting, the servant to Revel Horwood's Wicked Queen.

It is reported that Revel Horwood, who has been touring with Widdecombe in the 'Strictly Come Dancing' show, suggested she take part in the panto.

Widdecombe said: "I can hardly believe all the wonderful opportunities which have opened up through 'Strictly Come Dancing'.

"Craig and I have had enormous fun on the tour of the show and I am sure we can make that fun infectious during the run of Snow White."

Revel Horwood added: "Ann is extremely entertaining and such a sport. We've had a great laugh together on tour, though whether or not her dancing has improved is another matter."
