Troubled actor Charlie Sheen has said his twin sons have been removed from his home and he currently is not aware of their whereabouts.

Earlier reports suggested that his estranged wife, Brooke Mueller, had obtained a court order and that the couple’s boys, Bob and Max, had been removed from his home in Los Angeles.

Speaking on NBC’s 'Today Show', Sheen said the authorities had removed the boys from his home. The actor said he had remained calm throughout the encounter and permitted them to do their job. He said he is eager to bring the children home to the property he currently shares with his two girlfriends saying "There is love, compassion, support and childcare and everything else you could possibly want for a child in this home. It's not a house, it's a home."

He dismissed reports that he had made threats against Mueller and urged her to reach out to him.

The actor has made numerous media appearances in the past number of days to give his reaction to the news that producers have shut down his show, 'Two and a Half Men', due to his ongoing difficulties.
