Colin Firth reportedly almost lost his Oscar when he left the trophy in the bathrooms at a Vanity Fair after party.
According to The Mirror, Firth's Best Actor Oscar was fortunately discovered by a cloakroom attendant who chased after the star to hand it back.
'The King’s Speech' star, was celebrating winning the coveted gong at a string of parties when he almost lost the 8lb statuette.
A source said: "Everyone was trying to buy him drinks.
"He may be 50 but he knows how to party and was determined to make the most of the occasion."
After the ceremony, Colin hit the Governor’s Ball, where he and wife Livia mingled with Best Actress winner Natalie Portman before heading to Vanity Fair’s party.
With the bubbly continuing to flow, he chatted with Oscars hosts Anne Hathaway and James Franco before hitting the dancefloor, with his new friend Oscar in his hand.
Shortly after that he went to the bathroom where he left his Oscar before it was soon returned to him by a quick-thinking cloakroom attendant.
