Liam Gallagher has slammed Mumford & Sons for not being more enthusiastic about winning a Brit Award.
“I think it's alright but they were f**ing ashamed about winning and that's the sad bit. ‘Oh, we shouldn't be here!' Then what did you join a band for then?" he told music website The Quietus.
"They bow their heads down going, ‘Oh, we don't deserve it.’ What's that about? You must have seen it before so don't pretend like you've just come out of a cider apple factory. Still, it's better than Take That, isn't it?"
Talking about the lack of experimentation on Beady Eye's debut Different Gear, Still Speeding, he added: “We're quite happy doing the rock 'n' roll thing. We just like what we do. I heard that Radiohead record and I just go, 'What?!' I like to think that what we do, we do well.
“Them writing a song about a f**king tree? Give me a break! A thousand year old tree? You'd have thought he'd have written a song about a modern tree or one that was planted last week. You know what I mean?”
