Keith Duffy has revealed that he wants to make it big on American TV, and recently lost out on a part in the HBO series 'Boardwalk Empire'.
The Boyzone star said that the setback has only made him more determined to make it in the industry.
The Irish Daily Mail quotes him as saying: "I still believe that the biggest career move of my life is yet to happen.
"There's something out there that I'm going to do that will be bigger than anything I've done before. I went very, very close to getting the part in 'Boardwalk Empire'. I went for the auditions and if I had known then how good it was going to be I would have been extremely nervous.
"I thought I did a great screen test and the casting director in the States told me I got down to the last two for the role. He said, 'We really like you but HBO have a liking for the other guy'. I was gutted, but it's only the first thing to come along.
Duffy added: "I'm an ambitious fella. I'm very driven and make things happen. My dream is to work as an actor on American TV. I want to do it and I know I can do it."
