Walliams for Doctor Who alien role?

Warning: Spoiler alert!

David Walliams will play an alien in the next series of 'Doctor Who', sources have claimed.

The 'Come Fly with Me' comic, who announced his involvement in the show earlier this month, is apparently portraying a cowardly creature called Gibbis.

Compared to Mole from 'The Wind in the Willows', a source told The Sun: "They thought Walliams would be perfect for the role of alien Gibbis. He is well known for his love of using prosthetics to get into character on his comedy shows, so this won't be much different for him. But it will be a lot scarier than the stuff he normally does."

'Doctor Who' airs this spring on BBC One for a shorter run, before the sci-fi drama returns in the autumn for another mini-series.
