'Eastenders' actress Cheryl Fergison is adamant that her engagement to the man she met in an internet chat room will stand the test of time.
46-year-old Fergison who plays unlucky in love Heather Trot met her Moroccan toyboy Yassine Al-Jermoni in an internet chat room last April.
Al- Jermoni, who is 19 years younger than the soap actress, wooed Fergison with his web messages long before the pair even met in real life. Fergison revealed to ‘Now!’; “'I kind of fell for Yas before I actually saw him because he used to write such beautiful things to me.”
However there have been many negative stories written about Al-Jermoni’s real intentions, especially after he proposed to the soap star less then a year after they met, but now Fergison has hit back at all her detractors declaring; “Calling me crazy – that’s a strong word. I'm not crazy, I'm just crazy in love! There have been quite a few negative comments, but I think time will tell that he's a genuinely lovely, intelligent human being.”
Fergison who has been married before added; “I've fallen in love for the first time in my life. I've been married and had relationships before but this is really the first time that I know what love is.”
