RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta's cult underground music show 'An Taobh Tuathail' is releasing a free compilation on Valentine's Day, 14 February.

'An Taobh Tuathail Vol IV' will be available to download as a free podcast from 14 February at: www.rte.ie/rnag for a period of three months.

The compilation is "programmed towards late-night listening, with most of the tracks veering towards a hushed and contemplative tone".

Among the artists featured are "evocative instrumentals from Scandinavian artists Tape and The Gentleman Losers, feelgood ska from Welsh surrealists Dau Cefn, wistful 80s-tinged pop from Georgian singer Natalie Beridze, a number of homegrown tracks from Phantom Dog Beneath the Moon, Patrick Kelleher and St Catherine's Home For Lazy Infants as well as modern day electronica, courtesy of Alex Smoke, Emika and Actress".

Hosted by Cian Ó Cíobháin, 'An Taobh Tuathail' is broadcast on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta (92-94 fm) every Monday to Friday from 11pm to 1am.
