Veteran American singer Neil Diamond will play the Aviva Stadium in Dublin this summer.
It was announced yesterday last night that Diamond, who turns 70 this year, will perform in the arena to 40,000 fans on Saturday June 25.
The singer, whose career now spans almost 50 years, has sold more than 128 million albums worldwide.
His hits include 'Sweet Caroline' and 'Song Sung Blue' and in recent times he has undergone a commercial and critical renaissance.
His last album 'Home Before Dark', debuted at No 1 in the US charts, while 'Dreams', a collection of his favourite songs by other artists, was also well received.
A member of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, he was also recently nominated for the 2011 Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and inductees will be announced in December.
