Blake Lively is rumoured to be playing a young Carrie Bradshaw in a movie prequel to the 'Sex and the City' TV show and films.
The 'Gossip Girl' star is reportedly being considered by the SATC creator Michael Patrick King to portray a younger version of the lead character, played by Sarah Jessica Parker.
A source told Grazia: "The prequel is about breathing new life into the story and exploring Carrie's first few months in NYC and the beginning of her relationship with an older man."
The prequel is likely to be based on author Candace Bushnell's prequel novels 'The Carrie Diaries', which details Carrie's teenage years, and 'Summer and the City', which tells the story of her move to New York.
