Anne Hathaway has revealed that she wants to have children, but isn't quite ready to start a family yet.

The actress, who has been in a relationship with actor Adam Schulman for the past two years, is excited at the prospect of becoming a mum in the future.

"I'm dying to be a mum. I'm not ready for it yet but it's one of the joys of life that I'm looking forward to so very much”, The Daily Mail quotes her as saying.

Hathaway started dating Schulman shortly after splitting from Raffaello Follieri - who was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison in 2008 after pleading guilty to wire fraud, money laundering and conspiracy.

She added that her bad experience did not put her off the idea of finding love again: "I think the thing that I have learnt is that a bad love experience is no reason to fear a new love experience. Everybody has bad relationships and, at the end of the day, they are just a great way to set yourself up for a good relationship."
