Television presenter Dermot O'Leary has reportedly made the shortlist for the job hosting the US version of 'The X Factor'.
According to The Mirror, O'Leary is the only British presenter on the shortlist of six.
'Extra' presenter Mario Lopez, E! host Jason Kennedy and actor Zac Efron are also believed to be in the running for the job.
A source said: "Dermot is still in with a great chance of getting the biggest job of his life, but he is in the dark at the moment."
"He has made the shortlist but there is some pretty stiff competition from a host of big names in America."
"A decision has not been made yet so Dermot has to wait like any other fan of the show."
