'Coronation Street' star Sally Dynevor has said she was "a bit shocked" when the makers of the show revealed her character's new storyline.

Viewers will see Dynevor's character Sally go out on a date with newcomer Jeff (Steve Houghton) after they meet in the Rovers.
Speaking about the plot to Inside Soap, the actress said: "I was a bit shocked, actually. In a funny way - because she's had so many men - I just didn't think there could be another one about to come along so soon.
"But that's the thing with this job - you never really know what's coming next. I don't know if Jeff will turn out to be a nice guy or a bad guy in the end, though - I'm finding out about him at the same time Sally does."
Dynevor said there would be a twist for fans when Sally discovers what Jeff does for a living.
"This perfect guy isn't who Sally thought he was," she said. "You never know where these things are going, though."
