'Home and Away' star Rebecca Breeds has said she would like to follow in the footsteps of former cast members and have a career in Hollywood.

Holy Soap reports that in an interview with Adelaide Now, Breeds said: "Absolutely I want LA. I am always thinking about it, but every role is a step towards the ultimate goal.

"I make sure that every step is satisfying in itself, which is why I love what I'm doing with 'Home and Away'. But if you don't have an end goal, a desire to go further, I think it's easy to get comfortable and caught in your comfort zone."

Breeds, who has played Ruby Buckton in 'Home and Away' since 2008, said she had recently taken an intensive course in Melbourne with a Hollywood acting coach.

"Now I have all the material I need, and I'm excited to go and put it into practice," she said.
