Jamie Lawson, who is currently enjoying success on the Irish music scene after his new song became a YouTube hit, is set to appear on The Late Late Show.
The Plymouth singer-songwriter received his recent breakthrough when Ian Dempsey played the original You Tube video of his new song 'Wasn't Expecting That' on the Today FM breakfast show.
Since then, according to Hot Press, the singer appeared on the radio show to sing 'Wasn't Expecting That' live on air.
Last night Lawson performed on Whelan's main stage and is set to give a number of performances around the country, including a live performance on The Late Late Show.
The original YouTube video, which Lawson only posted three weeks ago, has reached over 35,000 views.
Compared to Leonard Cohen and Damien Rice, Lawson released an acclaimed album 'The Pull Of The Moon' last year and his new song is set for immediate release.
The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday at 9.35pm.
